Valley High ArtTrek

The Valley High ArtTrek schedule is finished and posted on its own page. See the Left sidebar and click on Valley High ArtTrek for more information. A few more artists are needed to be Hosts for some of the ArtTrek dates. They are all Sunday mornings. The Host has only a few things to do and mostly serves as a representative of AOTA and Grand county. Hosts will wait at the designated meeting spot, for that date, from 9:00 until 9:30 am, for any ArtTrek participants to arrive. If anyone comes for the ArtTrek that is not a member of AOTA (we anticipate many artists from the Front Range), we would like to get their email address for future correspondence. It is a hope of ours that we can put a show together next winter featuring works of art created as a result of being inspired by Grand county through participation in at least one ArtTrek date/site visit. It would be really nice if the Host also had a digital camera and would take some pictures of the artists working or visiting and the location as well. We would like to display these at the winter show and use them in future schedules or other materials related to the ArtTrek. Lastly, the Host may have to act as an ambassador and give information about local restaurants, shops and other general information.

Valley High ArtTrek coming this summer!

posted Feb 12, 2011 12:03 PM by Marie Johannes   [ updated Feb 12, 2011 12:47 PM ]

Keep checking this location for more information about the Valley High ArtTrek which will start this summer in Winter Park and meander its way through the valley to Kremmling and finish this fall in Grand Lake. A schedule of changing weekly locations is being developed to give Grand County artists, working in all mediums, and county visitors alike the opportunity to find inspiration for their artwork through the world outdoors. If you've ever wanted to explore the county to stoke your creative juices but held back because you, wisely, prefer not to go alone, the Valley High ArtTrek is the answer. Join other artists at specified public locations as often as your schedule permits. No group agenda; everyone is on their own to pursue their muse along with others doing the same nearby. "Safety in numbers!"

Stay tuned!
